turn concern into action_

A growing network of leaders driving meaningful change for a sustainable future.

about us_

We’re a growing community of over 600 professionals from across Australia and around the world, who are concerned about the increasing impact of climate change.

We are committed to taking tangible actions to address climate change and to protect nature, biodiversity and our environment.

Through expert-led sessions, we explore a wide range of climate-related topics, empowering members to take informed action — whether as individuals or within their organisations — backed by the latest insights and a strong network of like-minded peers.

“As professionals, we believe we can use our networks and influence to garner support and address climate challenges with optimism and action.”

- Founders, Stephen Moir and Carolyn Loton.

our aim_

Our aim is to build a community of informed, empowered, and connected professionals who can act on climate change, both in the community and the workplace.

We will achieve impact by:

  • Educating ourselves using science-based sources
  • Advocating for and leading impactful change
  • Facilitating connections and collaborations
  • Inspiring others to take positive actions

To keep global warming to 1.5 degrees by 2050, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) recommends achieving 43% net reduction in emissions by 2030. Professionals Advocating for Climate Action aim to achieve measurable improvements in climate, energy transition and nature that align with this goal.

Connect with a growing community of 600+ senior professionals who are acting on climate change.

what we do_

The impacts of climate change are already here, with devastating bushfires, floods, heatwaves, cyclones, rising sea levels, and warming oceans significantly affecting communities and ecosystems.

Here’s just some of our group’s achievements:

  • More than 1000 member-hours volunteering for climate, nature or energy-focused initiatives (from NFP board roles to supporting climate-focused MPs)
  • Welcomed more than 600 members
  • Hosted 50+ monthly insight sessions
  • Heard from over 100 relevant experts
  • Solar panel installation in over 35 members’ homes
  • Over 25 members have volunteered to support climate-focused electoral candidates
  • Over 40 ESG professionals within the membership, who are leading in workplace actions to reduce emissions and waste, improve energy and resource efficiencies and drive more sustainable supply chain decisions.

And we’re just getting started. Exciting initiatives are on the horizon, designed to empower more professionals to take bold action.

why we do it_

“The 2019/2020 Australian bushfires were a turning point. Like many, we felt the need to do something meaningful. We started with informal monthly gatherings of friends and colleagues — initially in our living room. When the pandemic hit, we moved to Zoom, and our network grew. What began as a local group now connects professionals across Australia, New Zealand, the UK and recently, India.

Our philosophy is simple:

everyone is welcome. There’s no pressure, just support and a shared commitment to positive change.”

- Founders, Stephen Moir and Carolyn Loton.
